The Carol Stream Park District is looking for a summer recreation intern to work the months of May to August 2024. The qualified candidate must be a college student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies or a related field with a minimum of two years undergraduate coursework completed.

Camp Caribou is a boys overnight camp in Winslow, Maine. They offer instruction in a wide variety of land and water sports to boys aged 7-15 and are currently seeking Canoe / Kayak Instructors, Climbing Coaches, and Wilderness Trip Leaders for the upcoming summer. 

Bradford Woods operates 10 weeks of Recreation Therapy summer camps for children with cancer, sickle cell anemia, cerebral palsy, craniofacial anomalies, hearing loss, muscular dystrophy, autism, various physical disabilities, rare genetic disorders, and Down syndrome.

 The Channahon Park District is currently searching for a new Program Supervisor to oversee theirathletic programs and leagues, after school program, adult programs, and special events.

The Program Supervisor is responsible for performing the essential functions as outlined and is a full-time employee.

The Glenview Park District is proud to offer college students a paid Recreation Internship designed to provide hands-on practical experience in one of the largest and most unique park districts in Illinois. Interns have an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real world situations, explore the diverse operations of the Glenview Park District, complete and present a special project to the Park District’s leadership team, network with other recreation professionals, and develop the skills necessary to be successful in a parks and recreation career.
