The Fremont Community Recreation Authority is offering a professional internship to students working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the field of parks and recreation. The internship will provide a well rounded experience in park district operations, administration, public recreation, facility management, special events, fiscal management, marketing, maintenance, and program management. The intern experience will include special events, youth athletics, leagues, day camp, and trips. Schedule includes daytime, evening and weekend activities.

The Smithsonian Gardens provides an exceptionally well-rounded array of experiences in its intern program thanks to the wide diversity of services it offers to the Smithsonian, the world's largest museum complex.

Summer Internship The job will consist of 40 hours a week for 12 weeks and pay minimum wage. The H-F Park district will be able to give experiences in a wide array of programming, facility and park maintenance experiences. We operate, under the direction of our Police Department, a Community Resource Center.  The focus of the center is provide recreational, educational and other after school activities for at risk children.  The internship would provide candidates with experience in coordination and implementation of various activities including administration, athletics, special events, tutoring and mentoring opportunities.  Willing to work with university to provide educational/intern opportunity to college student.  This is an unpaid opportunity.
