The Park District of Oak Park is offering a summer internship program to students who are within the field of parks and recreation or a related area. It will be a comperhensive experience of district operations, and vary from 35-40 hours a week. Contact Peyton Rapier for more information. 

Carol Stream Park District is offering a paid internship oppurtunity for college students this summer. Hands-on education and exposure are included, and the internship will help a student get a well-rounded expierence in district operations. 

Oualifications:

- Student must be working towards a degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a related field

-Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate required

-Strong communication and organizational skills

-Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs

- Valid Illinois driver license

On Thursday April 6th from 4pm-6pm, the Bolingbrook Park District will be hosting a job fair at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex. The fair will allow you to meet hiring managers, ask questitions, and learn about job openings at Bolingbrook Park District. Seasonal and full-time jobs will be offered, most being above minimum wage.

The South Suburban Parks and Recreation Professional Association is once again offering an Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship. Attached is their Undergraduate/Graduate Scholarship opportunities (deadline 3/25/24). 

The Streamwood Park District is currently looking for a person to fufill a 12-week (May 20th-August 9th, Monday through Friday) summer internship. The intern will be responsible for helping with recreation programming, athletics, recreation services, special events, summer camp coordination, and facility rentals. Also they will be engaging with the Marketing, Parks, Human Resources, and Administration departments.  There will be occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. 

Easterseals Central Illinois' Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is looking for summer staff to support campers with a wide variety of disabilities and life-altering illnesses.
