Robert Young Behavioral Health Center, Trinity is a health center focused on helping children, adolescents, and adults deal with behavioral health, give acute care and help with substance abuse. 

Chicago Park District is looking for a Special Recreation Leader (Day Camp), Special Recreation Leader (Camp Sign), and a Inclusion Aide for summer of 2020.

The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is offering a 19 consecutive week internship (with a stipend)  in therapeutic recreation services that uses the therapeutic recreation process as defined by the current NCTRC Job Analysis. The student is under the direct supervision of an internship supervisor who is CTRS certified. The hospital has a committee of members who have the best interest of the student at heart.

Chicago Park District is looking to hire interns to work in their Special Recreation Department. Student will have opportunities to learn organizational, documentation, problem solving, networking, and interdepartmental communication and collaboration skills within the Special Recreation Department of the Chicago Park District, as per the requirements to successfully complete Internship.

Population: Adults ages 18+ with mental illness and/or substance abuse diagnosis in both inpatient and outpatient setting.

Interventions utilized: animal assisted therapy, therapeutic art, therapeutic music, dance/movement, yoga, leisure education, social skills development, sober lifestyle, emotional awareness.

Dates available: Accepting interns year round - must apply 3 months prior to desired start date.
