The program is a year-round, six year leadership program for teens who are high potential, yet underserved. During the summer, they attend a 21 day residential experience at our 280 acre site in Eureka, MO.
The West Suburban Special Recreation Association (WSSRA) is a cooperative extension of nine park districts and two villages. WSSRA was formed in 1976 to coordinate year round recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. WSSRA runs 40-50 programs a week during a typical program season.
The St. Charles Park District is offering a 2014 summer internship for students pursuing a degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies or related field at an accredited university.
