The West Suburban Special Recreation Association (WSSRA) is a cooperative extension of nine park districts and two villages. WSSRA was formed in 1976 to coordinate year round recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. WSSRA runs 40-50 programs a week during a typical program season. During the summer they have 20-30 programs per week as well as 9 day camps.
