Continuum of Care: Skilled Nursing/ Assisted Living/ Independent Living

Applicant will have to set up an interview. Programs take place on weekends, weekdays and evenings. The intern would be expected to work 40 hours weekly, with some weekend and evening hours.

26 bed inpatient rehab unit/ CARF certified/ Designated stroke center

A mental health treatment facility for adult male sex offenders. Residents are diagnosed as "Sexually Violent Persons" according to the state of Illinois SVP act.

Program is offered mostly M-F, some weekends, often afternoon and evening hours.

Developmental Disabilities

Community social service agency that serves DD adults in vocational and residential program/ Active Rec Program involved in special olympics (9 sports)/ Many group and community activities

Community Resource Services is a day program for adults with developmental disabilities.

Goal: to enhance the ability of individuals living with or at risk of disabilities to live, learn, work and play in the community

Substance Abuse; Psychiatric/ Mental Health;

22 bed psychiatric unit located on the third floor of ORH/ New "green" outpatient and partial hospitalization

No stipend/ Must have own housing

Inpatient behavioral health 

37 bed physical rehabilitation unit- strokes, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputee

1st come, 1st serve - usually take 2 interns each semester

Psychiatric/ Mental Health

Child and adolescent psychiatry inpatient and partial hospitalization advanced internship

Psychriatric hospital offering specialty service for eating disorders, genetic, self injury, chemical dependency, anxiety for adolescents and adults both in and out patient
