The Glenview Park District is proud to offer college students a paid Recreation Internship designed to provide hands-on practical experience in one of the largest and most unique park districts in Illinois. Interns have an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real world situations, explore the diverse operations of the Glenview Park District, complete and present a special project to the Park District’s leadership team, network with other recreation professionals, and develop the skills necessary to be successful in a parks and recreation career. Interns will have the opportunity to attend committee meetings with elected officials, work in a variety of facilities across the district, and act as a contributing staff member throughout the duration of the internship.
