An opportunity for the undergrad  recreation majors at St. Francis to aid, organize, and develop a stem and recreational related summer camp program for upwards of 1,000 youth in 1st-5th grade. This is a paid internship and will help students in their pursuit of a career in recreation and sports management. See below for a general internship description.

The Boy Scouts of America’s Rainbow Council is looking for interns to develop and implement a Stem directed program for upwards of 1,000 youth.

Essential Functions

·   Responsible for the total programming of Rainbow Council summer day camps

·   Develop innovating quality experiences for summer day camps

·   Help Develop and supervise an annual department budget of over $60,000 dollars.

·   Recruit, train and supervise all staff for the summer camp program

·   Provide help with marketing of all Camp programs

·   Increase participation by enhancing systems for camper recruitment, engagement and retention.

·   Lead a culture that supports the physical, emotional and spiritual development of all participants and staff

·   Marketing/promotion of camp program

·   Reports to Day Camp Staff advisor (Daniel Stromberg)
