The Park District of Oak Park is offering a summer internship program to students who are within the field of parks and recreation or a related area. It will be a comperhensive experience of district operations, and vary from 35-40 hours a week. Contact Peyton Rapier for more information. 

Carol Stream Park District is offering a paid internship oppurtunity for college students this summer. Hands-on education and exposure are included, and the internship will help a student get a well-rounded expierence in district operations. 

Oualifications:

- Student must be working towards a degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a related field

-Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate required

-Strong communication and organizational skills

-Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs

- Valid Illinois driver license

IPRA is looking for a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Fox Valley Special Recreation Association. The purpose of the job will be to assess, plan, develop, implement, and evalute therapeutic recreation programs for children and adults with disabilities. Lake Behavior Hospital in Waukegan, IL is looking to hire a couple Expressive Therapists to join their Expressive Therapy Department. Workers will have a chance to plan and execute enganging activities for patients and contribute to their treatment goals/overall wellbeing. King Adult Day Enrichment Program has 2 internships open for the summer and 3 open for the fall. The program is also searching for a full time CTRS to join the team, and would like to consider recent graduates for the position!

Camp Caribou is a boys overnight camp in Winslow, Maine. They offer instruction in a wide variety of land and water sports to boys aged 7-15 and are currently seeking Canoe / Kayak Instructors, Climbing Coaches, and Wilderness Trip Leaders for the upcoming summer. 

Bradford Woods operates 10 weeks of Recreation Therapy summer camps for children with cancer, sickle cell anemia, cerebral palsy, craniofacial anomalies, hearing loss, muscular dystrophy, autism, various physical disabilities, rare genetic disorders, and Down syndrome.
