Summer Internship with Military Children & Youth

 INTERN WITH MILITARY CHILDCARE AND YOUTH PROGRAMS Interns are placed on active military installations across the United States and abroad during their 10-15 week internship. Interns work directly with children and youth by creating and implementing age appropriate curricula and programs. They also learn about the management of child and youth centers, including financial and budgeting skills. Interns gain valuable professional skills that will help them in their future careers. Qualified applicants must: • Have completed at least five semesters of college coursework by the start of their internship • Have at least a 2.75 GPA • Have an educational background in child or youth development, education, family sciences, recreation, or a related field • Be able to pass a National Agency background (security) check • Exhibit maturity, good judgment, and enjoy working with children, youth, and their families We welcome applications from undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates (within 6-12 months of graduation).
