The Recreation Therapy Service Line’s mission is to provide comprehensive rehabilitative care to veterans in need of rehabilitation to attain their full physical, psychosocial, educational, and vocational potential and return to community living. Rehabilitation is provided by an interdisciplinary team that applies state-of-the-art clinical skills, equipment and techniques. Recreation Therapy Service will utilize hospital, community, state, and federal resources effectively and optimize patient outcomes thus achieving high patient satisfaction. Recreation therapy is part of the rehabilitation service line.
