Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero

The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is offering a 19 consecutive week internship (with a stipend)  in therapeutic recreation services that uses the therapeutic recreation process as defined by the current NCTRC Job Analysis. The student is under the direct supervision of an internship supervisor who is CTRS certified. The hospital has a committee of members who have the best interest of the student at heart. They are there to help them get the best experience in order to go out into the working world feeling confident and knowledgeable in the field. This internship requires the perspective student to work 40 hours p/week. The setting is  an inpatient, psychiatric, adult male, maximum forensic hospital.
