The Farmer Research Lab in Indiana University’s Dept. of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies in the School of Public Health-Bloomington is recruiting a doctoral student interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in Leisure Behavior with a contextual area of study focused on social-ecological systems and sustainability issues. The lab conducts research focused on a range of sustainability issues within the areas of sustainable food systems and conservation behavior (in both the urban and rural domains).
The successful student will also be affiliated with Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis, a world-renowned institute that serves as a catalyst and incubator for learning ways in which governance institutions can be crafted to enhance human well-being, while promoting democratic principles and sustainable resource management.
To receive full consideration, applicants must meet all admission requirements of the School of Public Health- Bloomington and the Dept. of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies, and have a completed master’s degree at time of enrollment.
