The Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management (PRTM) at Clemson University is pleased to announce openings for graduate assistants (at the PhD level preferred but MS level will be considered) in Community Recreation, Sport and Camp Management (CRSCM) with a particular focus on Sport for Development (at the International, National, State, or Community level) and/or youth development through sport.
The PRTM Graduate Assistant will work primarily with Dr. Arthur-Banning to assist in various aspects of academic work including teaching and class preparation in the CRSCM emphasis area within the undergraduate sport curriculum. In addition, successful candidates will be asked to assist in various research projects by helping with literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation and submission, grant writing and presentation preparation. Finally, Dr. Arthur-Banning has taken students on Study Abroad trips to various developing countries to utilize sport as a development tool as well as to multiple Olympic/ Paralympic Events (2002 Salt Lake City, 2010 Vancouver, 2012 London and 2014 Sochi) and assistance on planning/facilitating these sorts of experiences for undergraduate students will also be helpful.
