HCR ManorCare - Marietta is a 117 bed facility and we are seeking a Certified Recreational Therapist to work alongside our Recreation Therapy Director! This facility contains a 73 bed post-acute care (MedBridge) unit and a long term care unit of 44 beds. MCHS of Marietta can care for the needs of clinically complex patients and houses strong clinical leadership.The Recreational Therapist is responsible to plan, organize, and implement comprehensive leisure services designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests and to maintain and improve functional levels of patients; Involves the patient in recreational and leisure activities appropriate for age, disability, and environment.

Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy
Certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by a recognized accrediting body.
Position Requirements
Two years of experience conducting social/recreational programs within the past five years, one of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
The Recreation Therapist will be expected to be flexible with work schedule balancing some evenings and Sundays. Experience with having a patient case load is not required, but preferred as this position will maintain a 20 patient caseload utilizing several recreational therapy interventions such as range of motion, standing balance, ambulation, animal assisted therapy, leisure skills, etc.
