Lakeshore Foundation, located in Birmingham, Alabama is currently recruiting for the position of Recreation and Athletics Specialist. The resposiblities will include planning, implementing and running or assisting staff with delivery of sports and recreational activities for youth and adults with physical disabilities, provide assistance, instruction or coaching in various adapted sports, acting as designated staff representative, assist participants in the water in aquatic activities, and assist staff with logistical set up, take down and clean-up for daily activities. The qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Adapted Physical Education or closely related field preferred, must have flexible hours, a valid driver’s license and good visual acuity, and CPR and AED.
