Description:

HCR ManorCare provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, assisted living, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice care, home health care and rehabilitation therapy. The Activity Director is responsible to plan, organize, and implement a program of therapeutic activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interest of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan. Educational Requirements:

Must meet one of the following criteria:
o 10% Completion of a state approved training course
o Qualification as Occupational Therapist, Therapist Assistant, Activity Professional, Recreational Therapist who is: licensed or registered either

Position Requirements:

Two years of experience conducting social/recreational programs within the past five years, one of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.

Job Specific Details:

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) CertificationRequired.
