The Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center is seeking enthusiastic and motivated candidates for three summer positions:

Summer Intern

The Intern will work closely with Nature Kids Camp and the Coordinators of the Environmental Education and Adventure Center Programs to plan and carry out programs. In addition, the Intern will assist the Manager of Irons Oaks in projects and work with other departments as assigned. Weekend and evening work likely. This is a 12-week paid internship. Fall Internship also available.

Nature Kids Camp Site Director

Do you love nature and can&;t wait to share your observations with others? Do you want to make a positive difference in a child’s life? Do you want to spend your summer outdoors looking for cool things like trees, fungus and spiders and sharing what you find with campers? If you answered yes to these questions, THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU!! Under direction from the Irons Oaks Manager, the Nature Camp Site Director implements Nature Kids Camp and Curiosity Camp programs. The Nature Camp Site Director trains and supervises counselors, plans daily and weekly activities, creates and constructs program materials and leads programs, as necessary. The Nature Camp Site Director supervises and evaluates staff, coordinates camp staff schedules and insures the daily cleanup of activity areas. In addition, the Nature Camp Site Director coordinates groups and camps on field trips to Irons Oaks.

Nature Kids Camp Counselor

Counselors assist in the development and delivery of programs for Nature Kids Camp. Duties include supervising campers, communicating with parents/guardians, and discovering nature by leading hikes and activities, making crafts, reading stories, playing games and having FUN! If you like spending the summer outside and want to share your love of the outdoors with campers ages K-5th grade, this is the place for you!
