The Forest Preserve District of Will County (IL) has a new internship - Outreach Event Seasonal Intern (3).
The paid internship is a perfect fit for students enrolled in Recreation, Event Planning, Sports Management, Interpretation, Tourism, or like program.
The cornerstone of the internship is assignment, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of one of the Forest Preserve’s summer program series.
- Wellness Walking Wednesdays
- Music in the Moonlight, concert series
- Food Truck Fridays
There are 3 internships available. Intern will be paired with assigned event series dependent on field of study, experience and interest.

Résumés are being accepted this month. Interviews in March may take place via Skype, phone but in-person is strongly preferred. Target is for an April hire however, I am flexible dependent of school schedule. For the right candidate I am willing at adjust the work season. Housing is not provided. Interns will need to live near or in the Will County area and commute. Events take place in preserves throughout the county but the primary duty station is in Joliet.
