Stipend / Residential Internship Positions Available for the Summer of 2015
Center for Adventure & Experiential Learning (CAEL):
Located in the Allegheny Mountains of Western Maryland, on the shores of Deep Creek Lake, the Center for Adventure & Experiential Learning (CAEL) at Garrett College creates custom designed group programs utilizing the expert staff of the Adventuresports Institute™, a network of regional partners and the unique natural resources of our area. CAEL programs are adventure-based and focus on educational objectives, team development, and personal enrichment.
Program Overview:
CAEL is a growing auxiliary program based at Garrett College, home to the Adventuresports Institute™ (ASI). The internship program has been designed to be flexible to meet the needs of students interested in the various aspects of running a multifaceted outdoor education, recreation and tourism business. There are many opportunities to gain experience in a variety of disciplines from the outdoor recreation field to the business industry, from marketing to outdoor photography and videography. The internship can also be designed to meet eachstudent’s internship requirements such as hours, projects, site visitations, etc.
