The School of Community Resources & Development at Arizona State University is seeking a graduate student interested in sustainable tourism to begin in Fall 2015.
The successful applicant will work for the Center for Sustainable Tourism under the guidance of Dr Christine Vogt. Candidate should have a strong interest in tourism, sustainability, and the new ways of examining and delivering tourism in a more sustainable manner. Work efforts will include: finding and assisting with grant proposals; communicating interests and findings to academic, industry and government agencies; and implementing research projects from the Center with faculty and undergraduate and graduate students in the school. Writing, statistics and technology knowledge are a must. A Ph D Student is preferred, but a Master’s student with industry, government or university Center or Institute experience will be considered. Our assistantships include a competitive stipend, tuition fee waiver, and health insurance benefits. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply by February 1, 2015.

The Ph D program in Community Resources and Development prepares scholars, teachers, and professionals who study community development, policy, planning, and human service delivery models specializing in one of the following tracks:
- Tourism
- Parks, Recreation and Leisure
- Community Studies
- Nonprofit Leadership and Management
