Funded Doctorate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation

The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS, Canada) is excited to announce two awards.  One is a doctoral award to pursue a PhD at Dalhousie University and the other is to support a post-doctoral student.  Both awards are designed to support the advancement of research in the area of therapeutic recreation.  The candidate for each award must hold their Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialization (CTRS).  The doctoral award is for $20,000 and is renewable.  There is also the opportunity for a teaching assistant for additional funding as well as faculty and external scholarship funding.  The post-doctoral award will be commensurate with experience and may also have the opportunity for sessional teaching.
