Year-Round Day Camp Director, Chicago North Shore
There’s a unique and exciting year-round day camp director position now open for immediate employment at Valley Lo Club in the Chicago North Shore suburb of Glenview, with a salary range of $50,000-$65,000 plus benefits. We’re a successful ACA accredited, nationally award winning summer day camp with first-rate facilities and activities for about 250 children of the members of our club. We’re looking for someone with terrific leadership and people skills who can direct our summer camp at the highest level, where camp is used for not only fun and recreation but the development of character and skills for life. We’re a work place that’s open to new ideas, structure, and mission-directed programming. We want you to recruit, select, motivate, and lead staff to excellence. A key focus is on outstanding staff training before and during camp and we need someone who can, with other leadership team members, use positive communication and coaching skills to guide staff to their best performance throughout the summer. Great customer service skills are important for parent partnerships and daily interaction. While camp will be your main full-year focus, you will also serve as director of our youth service programming for our club year-round, supervising staff for these programs.
