Therapeutic Recreation Fall Internship
$125/ week
Northern Will County Special Recreation Association (NWCSRA) offers an internship to students pursuing a degree in the field of therapeutic recreation with a comprehensive experience within the agency's operation. The intern will gain experience in administration, marketing, budgeting, leadership, staff management, behavior management, weekly programming and special events for individuals with special needs. The Intern will assist in several weekly programs, special events and agency fundraisers.
Qualifications: Must be a current student of an accredited university, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation or a related field, looking to complete an internship. Student must provide own transportation.
Duties: Throughout this internship, students will work in the areas of program development, planning and evaluation, written and oral communication, budgeting, customer service, outreach, and marketing. Intern will be required to work flexible hours including nights and weekends based on programs assigned.
