Seeking a talented individual to lead our Activity Department enriching the lives of our residents of a Skilled Nursing Facility
Qualifications
Certified Activity Director (the 36 hour certification course for the state of IL)
Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility as an Activity Director
Extensive involvement with leading a team, creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long term care patients that address their physical, cognitive and social deficits
Responsibilities
Shift/Schedule: This is a full-time day shift position with Manager on Duty (MOD) weekend rotations
Certified Activity / Activities Director/CTRS: officially we title this job an Activities Director, but in other centers it may be called Activity Coordinator / Director of Activities or Life Enrichment Coordinator /CTRS
The Activities Director shall develop and implement meaningful activity and recreational programs that embrace and fulfill the needs, as well as varied interests, of the residents while promoting or enhancing physical and psychosocial wellbeing
Design of the programs will include social, sensory, physical, cognitive, reflective, nature, spiritual activities, and outings
Organizes and schedules events related to residents’ interests
Plans, schedules and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms
Plans, schedules and implements indoor and outdoor activity programs
Maintains an activity attendance record for each resident
Assess needs and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement activity programs
