#2a2a2a" size="4">Karl Rohnke has been involved with adventure education for over 50 years. He started as an Outward Bound Instructor and then became one of the founding members of Project Adventure in the 70s. Karl has written over 20 books related to adventure education and using an experiential approach to learning, and he has worked with thousands of people, all over the world, putting the words in his books into practice.
#2a2a2a" size="4">Spend some time with Karl.
#2a2a2a" size="4">On Feb., 8th, participate in and explore some of Karl's favorite community-building activities in the context of how fun, play, and failure are defined using an experiential approach. Karl will share some of what he has come to know through his years of facilitating groups, trainings, and workshops. He asks us, "if we can't provide a powerful and persuasive answer for why we program adventure-based activities, it is only recreation, not experiential education." He encourages us and teaches us to know the educational differences between the two.
